Fort Macon State Park Restoration and Roof Repair

Hobbs Architects was tasked with designing the repairs and restoration of Fort Macon related to the flood damage during Hurricane Florence. The additional work included the removal and replacement of damaged interior floors, finishes, HVAC system, and electrical system components that were under water during the hurricane. The goal of the work was to protect the historic fabric of the Fort, repair and replace damaged materials, replace the HVAC and electrical systems, and reopen the closed areas of the Fort to the public as soon as possible.
