Riverwalk

Chatham County, NC - 2,300 Sq ft

Organized around a simple concept with distinctive areas for daytime and nighttime functions, the Riverwalk House sits overlooking the banks of the Haw River.  Particularly important to the owners was the experience of arrival, preferring that views of the river be revealed only after entering the home.  The house is therefore tucked into the hillside with a long concrete retaining wall that frames the entry, minimizing the appearance of the house upon approach.  The two wings of the house each feature a butterfly roof, allowing daylight into each space and expansive views to the river, with a low-slung entry foyer forming a connector between the two.

Chatham Magazine featured this home in their August 2022 issue. Read about it HERE
