Northwood High School

The primary objective of Phase I (2008) was to provide improved serving and dining areas for the Cafeteria. The primary objectives of Phase II are to provide an “Arts Wing” for the school’s drama and art departments and to provide a new entrance for the Gym that separates it from the primary lobby of the school. This phase will be completed in 2009. The new construction includes the addition of a drama classroom, dance studio, band room, voice classroom, allied health classroom, and a gym lobby with a concession stand. The renovations planned for the existing building will consist of converting existing interior spaces to practice rooms, equipment spaces, and storage for the arts programs. The majority of the interior walls will be retained. Site improvements include new student drop off areas, new parking, new accessible entrances, new walkways, and an outdoor arts patio. The construction process will be phased to allow for the school to remain in session and for campus circulation to be maintained in a safe and orderly way during all periods of construction.
