Carolina Nephrology

This doctor’s office consists of ten exam rooms, four offices, a laboratory, and administrative areas. The design objectives were to create a building that takes advantage of natural lighting within a form that is sleek and modern in appearance. The owner needed future expansion capabilities included in the design, which was achieved through the inclusion of a 2nd level, which allowed natural light to be brought in from above. Rarely are the interior lights needed during the daytime to achieve acceptable lighting levels, thus reducing energy costs.
